Mahakali Vad near Gandhinagar

This is a famous vad (banyan tree) of Kantharpura near Gandhinagar known as Mahakali Vad. Which is one of the widest trees of Gujarat, probably, It may be second after the Kabirwad. The temple of the Mahakali Devi is situated in the middle of the trunk. This vad is spreading around 5 meters each year. Thanks to the farmers who donate the land for this tree and show their interest in the progress of vad. It is good for one day picnic from Gandhinagar, Ahmedabad and Himmatnagar. It is also known as Kantharpura vad.

Kayavarohan – The ancient town of Gujarat

Kayavarohan (કાયાવરોહણ) is an ancient and spiritually rich town located between Vadodara and the Statue of Unity. My first encounter with this place was completely unplanned. Around 2015, while travelling from Ahmedabad toward Poicha Mandir, I took a wrong turn and accidentally arrived in Kayavarohan. I stopped there for a simple cup of tea. But what I experienced stayed with me far longer. There was an unexpected sense of calm and positivity in the air that instantly caught my attention. Something about the town felt deeply powerful, almost magnetic. My instincts told me this was no ordinary place. Little did I know then that this chance detour would turn into the beginning of a much deeper curiosity about this ancient town. ✨

Pariyej Lake Wetland near Ahmedabad

Pariyej Lake, also known as Pariej Wetland (પરીએજ અથવા પરીયેજ), is a peaceful natural retreat located about 55 km from Ahmedabad and almost the same distance from Vadodara. This shallow-water lake is officially recognised as a wetland and is a haven for birdlife. Situated near Matar village on the Kheda–Khambhat road, Pariyej Lake offers a unique experience where you can spot birds even while driving along the road. The fertile surrounding farmlands and the lake’s shallow waters create an ideal environment for nesting and breeding. As a result, a wide variety of birds can be seen here, including the elegant Sarus cranes. For nature lovers and birdwatchers, Pariyej Lake is truly a hidden gem. 🐦✨

The government is developing the Dinosaur Park Patan, Science museum, Human Science Gallery, Hydropronix Gallery, Noble prize chemistry gallery, and optics gallery near Patan at Samalpati Chormarpura village 10 km from Rani ki vav. Developing in 10 acres land and with the approx cost of 100 crores.

Gandhi Ashram is going to Rennovate

Gandhi Ashram or Satyagrah Ashram Ahmedabad is a famous and iconic place for the visitors of Ahmedabad. Mahatma Gandhi set up 17th June 1917 Almost (100 years back) on the riverbank of the Sabarmati. There are many historical events like the Dandi march, Rowlatt Act, Champaran Satyagrah, Khadi movement and many others. Recently PM Narendra Modi visited Gandhi Ashram and decided to renovate it to make it more attractive. Here is the plan..

Symphony Forest Park

Symphony Forest park is a newly developed (in 2020) Municipal Garden developed by Ahmedabad’s famous Company Symphony in the Bodakdev area. Thus the name of the Park became popular as Symphony Forest Park. Even on Google Maps, you can find Symphony Forest Park. The park has beautiful landscaping that makes your day perfect while you go for walk and the nature trail of the forest park. As the name suggests it’s a kind of forest and you will get a feeling of the forest.

Zen Garden Ahmedabad

Zen Garden Ahmedabad was specially created similar to the Japanese Zen garden. It’s in the Panjrapol area opposite the IIM Ahmedabad in the AMA Campus. Zen Garden’s Japanese name is Zen-Kaizen so sometimes it’s called Zen Garden or Zen-Kaizen.
