There are many Waterfalls around Ahmedabad. In the summer, Ahmedabad experiences 40c to 45c temperatures. Particularly in May and June month. Also, it is a time of Vacation in Schools and Colleges. Due to hot and dry weather, it is hard to roam in tourist places during that time. So a waterfall is the only best option to enjoy vacations, and weekends and get some relaxation from the killer weather. Monsoon places around Ahmedabad. There are many waterfalls and river bath options around Ahmedabad that really have full-day fun along with Adventurous activities.

1 – Sant Sarovar River bath
Normal Flow – 20th July 2023
– Near Gandhinagar. 30 Km from Ahmedabad. 130 km from Vadodara
– Running throughout the year
– River Sabarmati
– Best time: February to June
– Not risky but a little dirty surrounding

2 – Zanzari Waterfall
Good Flow – 20th July 2023
– Near Dehgam. 80 Km from Ahmedabad. 145 km from Vadodara
– Running throughout the year
– River Vatrak
– Best time: April to July, Sept to Oct- Risky during the monsoon. In normal season too its risky to take bath

3 – Bakor Waterfall
Good Flow with Sandy Water – 20th July 2023
– Near Modasa, 150 km from Ahmedabad and 150 km from Vadodara
– Running July to Feb
– River Bhadar
– Best time: September to Feb
– No risk to take a bath

4 – Hathnimata Waterfall
Good Flow with Sandy Water – 20th July 2023
– Near Jambughoda, 180 km from Ahmedabad and 70 km from Vadodara
– Running August to September only during the rain.
– Best time: August and September
– No risk to take a bath. But it’s slippery surfaces so take care. No Entry fees

5 – Khuniya Mahadev Waterfall
Low flow but risky to reach – as on 20th July 2023
– Near Pavagadh, 160 km from Ahmedabad and 50 km from Vadodara
– Running August to September only during the rain.
– Best time: August and September
– Very rocky and sometimes local officials close it due to safety reasons

6 – Sunsar Waterfall
Running Started – as on 25th July 2023
– Near Bhiloda, 130 km from Ahmedabad and 220 km from Vadodara
– Running only during rain for limited times. We can say, 1 or 2 weeks in a year
– Best time: August and September during the ongoing rain
– No risk to take a bath.

7 – Ratanmahal Waterfall
Running – as on 25th Jul 2023
– Near Panchmahal, 210 km from Ahmedabad and 135 km from Vadodara
– Running August to September only during the rain.
– Best time: August and September
– No risk to take a bath. But it’s slippery surfaces so take care.

8 – Galteshwar Riverbath
Good Flow – 20 Jul 2023
– Near Dakor, 95 km from Ahmedabad and 65 km from Vadodara
– Running around the year
– Best time: April – May
– No risk to take a bath. But it’s slippery surfaces so take care.

9 – Sindhrot Checkdam Riverbath
Good Flow – 20 July 2023
– Near Vadodara, 115 km from Ahmedabad and 15 km from Vadodara
– Running around the year
– Best time: Any time except monsoon (Avoid July to September)
– Not risky

10 – Zarwani Waterfall
Good flow with Sandy water. Risky to take bath – as on 20 july 2023
– Near Statue of unity, 220 km from Ahmedabad and 100 km from Vadodara
– Original name – Dhirkhadi Waterfall
– Running August to September only during the rain.
– Best time: August and September
– Risky during rain. But after the monsoon, No risk to take a bath. But it’s slippery surfaces so take care.

11 – Mahi Riverbath
Normal Flow -1st Dec 2022
– Near Savli, 105 km from Ahmedabad and 50 km from Vadodara
– River: Mahi
– Running throughout the year
– Best time: March to June
– Danger time: July to September
– Risky during rain. But after the monsoon, No risk to take a bath. But it’s slippery stones so take care.

12 – Banas River bath
Good Flow – 20th July 2023
– Near Palanpur, 180 km from Ahmedabad and 300 km from Vadodara
– River Banas
– Running after the rain in August and September
– Best time: August to September
– No risk. its a sandy river and very shallow

13 – Paniyari Waterfall
Good Flow – as on 20 July 2023
– Near Palanpur, 180 km from Ahmedabad and 300 km from Vadodara
– Running after the rain in August and September
– Best time: August to September
– No risk

14 – Hiranya River Check Dam (polo forest)
Low Flow – 20 July 2023
– In Polo Forest, 160 km from Ahmedabad and 280 km from Vadodara
– Running after the rain in August and September
– Best time: August to September
– No risk

15 – Sapteshwar Mandir Sabarmati Riverbath
Low Flow – 20 July 2023
– Near the Dharoi dam. 95 km from Ahmedabad
– Running throughout the year.
– Best time: September to June
– Risky during the dam gates open (Mostly in July, and August).
