Nature around Hingolgadh

In monsoon, it converts into beautiful green lush mountains hill.

Nature education camp at Hingolgadh is good for the Students and Kids to understand the Flora and Fauna of the surrounding area. It’s an ideal location for the student natures education trip.

Hingolgadh Fort
It has a Historical fort to see. But after COVID it remains close. The fort is around 300 meters from sea level. Fort is built by Jasdan’s royal family around 1,800 (Approx 200 years old). Till 2015, the famous naturalist of Gujarat Mr Luvkumar Khachar stayed in this fort and made the Hingolgadh nature education Camp.

Chotila Chamunda Mata Mandir

Chotila town is famous for Chamunda Mata Mandir. Many devotees from Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and all parts of Gujarat come here frequently a year. On special occasions like Navratri, Diwali and Chaitra Navratri it remains crowded.

Ghela Somnath Temple

Ghela Somnath known as Dhareshwar Temple is very ancient and famous.

Ghela is the River of Saurashtra. It is around 20 km from Jasdan Town. The temple was built about the 15th century and built by Minal Devi the Princess. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva known as here Ghela Somnath. During one of the invasions of Somnath temple, a princess saved and brought this shivling here.

Ghelo is the name of the person who sacrificed his life to protect it. So the Name of the temple is ghela Somnath and the river originates from here given the name Ghela River.

It remains crowded during Shravan Month (In August-September) and Shivratri.

Timing of Ghela Somnath is 5:30 AM to 9 PM
