About Park and Dinosaur

The Raiyoli area of Gujarat is known as the third-largest dinosaur fossil site in the world. It is also the second-largest dinosaur hatchery globally, where thousands of dinosaur eggs have been discovered. The carnivorous dinosaur Rajasaurus narmadensis was found in this region.

The Dinosaur Fossil Park offers a unique experience, taking you back 65 million years. It is often referred to as the Jurassic Park of India. During the 1980s and 1990s, nearly 10,000 dinosaur eggs were discovered here, making it the second-largest dinosaur hatchery in the world after France.

Visitors can see fossils in their natural state within the fields, a rare experience that is possible only here in India, as most other fossil parks are not accessible to the general public.

On 8 June 2019, Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani inaugurated India’s first Dinosaur Museum and Fossil Park at Raiyoli village near Balasinor, in the Mahisagar district.

The new museum will create a prehistoric-like era environment when dinosaurs might have roamed around freely in Raiyoli.

  • 3D projection
  • 360 degrees virtual reality presentations
  • Interactive kiosks
  • Gaming consoles

You can roam in the real field of Dinosaurs fossil park.
