Nalsarovar is a paradise for birds and a popular tourist attraction near Ahmedabad. It is one of the best destinations for a one-day picnic from Ahmedabad, Sanand, Surendranagar, Viramgam, and Gandhinagar, especially during the winter season. The best time to visit is from 1st December to 15th March, with early mornings being ideal. It is the only bird sanctuary that allows boating.
