I Suggest you, that 1 or 2 day is not enough of visiting Amdavad (Ahmedabad) b’coz many palce you don’t include in your list. In Ahmedabad is one of the travel destination place of Gujarat. So, many of places are there in Ahmedabad as toursit attraction. Specially heritage places of Pole in Ahmedabad, Gandhi Ashram, Sabarmati Lake front, Bhadra fort and it’s market and so on. So, it’s been One week for traveling whole Ahmedabad is enough.
Yes Ali, one or two days trip is mot sufficient. Ahmedabad has many places but based on the interest it can decide how many days it needs…

Thanks for suggestions. It is defined by the travel company. According to me, tour is belong to the Ahmedabad only while akshardham is located at Gandhinagar. So it may not cover all places of ahmedabad if they will cover akshardham. Still I guess they will think option package with akshardham as soon as they read this 🙂

Hi shishir, 1 day you can go go gandhinagar where you can go for sarita udhyan, central garden, akshardham ( need 3 hours ), musical fountain at akshardham at 7:30 PM
Do not miss it. If you have time and private vehicle you can go to mahudi or tirupati rushivan 50 km from gandhinagar..

As we are planning 2N and 3D at ahemdabad in the month of end Nov.15 with 2 Adult and 1 CHILD ( 12 YRS) .

Day 1 – Science city covers 4-5 hours. It is worth visiting if your child is attracted with the science experiments and 3d movie. It is close around 8:30. Check the show timing on the web and then go to the place IMAX Show is having duration 45 min. You should search with the IMAX 3D. Enjoy the food on hotels on highway nearby. There are lot of dhabas offer authenticate gujarati, punjabi and rajasthani foods. It will be good weather to enjoy food in open.
Day 2 – In Morning you can visit to River front and Gandhi Ashram. It is good place for spending time in peace as well as family. Riverfront is large garden if you are interested to visit it. Else you can go to the native ahmedabad where you can do the shopping. You will find it on Bhadra road. If you are here on suunday, must visit Ravivari Bazaar (sunday bazar) under the ellisbridge.
In evening around 4 pm you can visit to Kankaria lake which has the 10+ attraction like balloon safari, butterfly park, water sports, nagina wadi, lesser show, kids city, aquarium, joy rides and water park. It will take approx 6 hours. Make sure it is remain close on monday. and it is open till 10:00 PM.
Day 3 –

Option 3- Alternatively you can visit gandhingar 30 km from ahmedabad. There you can see lot of things like
1. Akshradham temple (4 hours you can spare here ) – It is remain close on monday.
2. Indroda park – Large park
For the shopping Some good roads for the shoppings – Relief Road, Bhadra Road, Gurukul Road, Ratan pole, University road and nehrunagar (all are good for street shopping)
You must visit this for food : Manek chowk, Iskon Gathiya, raipur bhajiya, Lucky tea and law garden street food.
For the hotel, i suggest now a days OYO rooms are famous, you should search for the law garden area in the oyo rooms website. They offer good rooms in the reasonbale price near by 1500 rs or about. It available anywhere in city but i suggest search for the law garden area it is near to city center.
